  In Australia the hospitality industry is very different. bars and restaurants operate very differently in a few ways 1. we include tax in our pricing 2. tips aren't as "compulsory" as in America but employees in the industry have a minimum wage which is generally quite good and most employers pay above the minimum wage. as for tipping in australia it isn't part of Australia's culture although if your a pretty girl working with drunk people you will earn your fair share. but the majority of your income will be from your wage.
