I am traveling to chicago and am worried about finding a safe area of town to stay...and not to spendy. HELP!?

Downtown is safe, however, stay away from hotels that appear to be extremely cheap compared to other hotels (they might be a transient hotel). Another option is the OHare airports. They are cheaper than downtown and it only takes about 50 minutes to get downtown using the blue line.

jus try not to go deep into the west side or the inglewood area the ingle wood area is the worst part of chicago, its out south. a good tourist place if thats what your coming here for is hyde park, barack obama's home neighborhood. BUT its winter and there is not alot of gang activity so you will be safe ( i stay on the west side of chicago so i kno) also try not to get a hotel wat up north because if your a women it wouldnt be to safe because there have been alot of women being attacked and raped(not trying to scare you lol). so yea the downtown area would be the best place. p.s. i kno this was long but just tryimg to look out for your safety wen you come. and elijiah... that was bogus as hell
