Jl audio for quantum audio whats better?

Wow some bad answers here... for one, kicker never made a zx1500.1 in the 90's, its a newer model, and also, JL DOES MAKE 3 ohm subs. Honestly, quantum audio is a borderline flea market company... I would rather take the 10w7's! They are worth so much more... Kicker zx1500.1 and a pair of w7's will be a KILLER setup. But a singl 500/1 is TOO SMALL for a pair of w7s, you wont be happy with the output. Also, you have a pair of dual 4 ohm subs which is WRONG for the kicker zx1500.1... im not sure how you have them wired buy you might be hurting the amp.

It's definitely a "personal opinion", but many people think JL are some of the best in the business. Their subs are very clean, hit very hard, and are under-rated. Also, I've never heard of Quantum audio, so this seems like a good trade on your end. But what should help you alot are customer reviews. Go look up reviews on both the subs that you currently have, and the subs that you may be trading for, that should aid your decision.

3 ohms? lol. No such thing. It's either Dual 2, Dual 4, Dual 1, Quad 1, Single 2, Single 4 or even single 8 ohm. But 3 ohm? No. Dude, you're amp is way better than his JL amp. But then again, you said he's going to give you (2) and a 4 channel correct? If I were you, trade him. Then sell off the jl subs and and amps and get real men subs, Fi, DC, Digital Designs, Ascendent Audio. Either that or find specs on those 10's and build yourself a box. Don't use those prefab boxes that aren't even to specs with your subs. Also, 15's definetly are louder since there is more cone area. I mean, two 10's get LOUD, and I do mean it. It all depends on the installer and the box/power put to them. Go on youtube and search "thorshammer". He has (2) 10 inch DC lvl 5 subs and does 150 LEGAL on a termlab.

the w7's are some of the tightest subs ever made if you looking for pure deep smooth base but will still rattle you teeth the w7's are some of the best. now on the other hand if your looking to blow the trunk off you car and go for pure spl (db's) the keep the 15's they will always be more sloppy because of the mass of the subs. One more thing the subs will also perform different with amps. here is a example. take the two 15's with a good amp they will pound and be able to hit some deep notes without flutter. but a cheaper amp with high wattage will still make them pound. now with the jl's if you have a amp with a low damping factor but alot of power and the s-n is in the high 90 low 100's they will hit but sound like crap but take a high end amp with a high damping factor and s-n 110 or better you can use lower wattage and get much more pure tones now take all that and add high wattage with a good line voltage 7v or higher and your db's should blow out a window hope this helps some I just read what amp you have if it is a original zx1500.1 made in the 90's then deff keep it that is one of the best comp amp ever made stillwater use to own kicker and they built that amp trust me they dont make them like that anymore. do you know what chip is in it?
