Can you buy an attachment for a car cd player to play cassette tapes?

    Radio Shack sells a RF transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack of a walkman. I bought on for my wife when she was a cop. (Her patrol unit didn't have CD or Tape) It'll cost around 10 bucks and works great. It runs off 2 AAA batteries and just to test the range on it, I walked about 50 feet from the car with the walkman before it started getting any static in the reception.

A lot of newer cars have an Aux input that you can plug an iPod, or in this case, a cassette Walkman into. Either the Aux will be right in the front of the deck (it will be a standard size headphone jack 3.5mm (?)) or you may have to buy an Aux input adapter for your specific vehicle. Some other options you have: It may be possible to get a AM/FM/CD/Cassette head unit swapped in from the dealership, but this option would probably be expensive. You could always get an aftermarket unit with a cassette player built in. Yes, they still manufacture them. Check Crutchfield if you're thinking of going that route. FM Transmitter Rip his casette tapes to a computer and burn to CD. (Very time consuming, will require extra computer hardware and software...)

you can use FM frequency to play cassettes in your player... but i would suggest to go in for a double din head... it plays both... CD's and cassettes...

u can get the factory radio that play it or u can just buy a new stereo that plays both u can check them out at cartoys,frys, any where they sell car stereos

You would have to go to a car audio place and switchout the standard deck with a Cassette/CD player combo. That would be my best advice.
