    WOW ur not going to get much online will be better cause things are cheaper. look for a package deal online there probably will be cheaper than buyiing ur subs, box n amp seperate! kicker, mtx, kenwood, jbl audiobahn. JL audio

assuming that your not going to be buying anything used... $500 total or under isn't going to get you anything all that good. Box...$100 avg. speaker... $150 for a decent speaker. amp...300 for a half decent mono-block. That doesn't include your wireing kit. and that's only for a one woofer system. Get a second woofer and everything else goes up. You can get an all in one unit for around the 500 mark. Bazooka, Infinity, MTX all make them. If you want good quality sound and good SPL, your gonna need to spend money. In the world of speakers, you get what you pay for.

you should get two kicker cvrs 12" on ebay for only under $200. to power theses subs you can get a power acoustik ps2-2200 for only $140 and with the left over cash just get a nice box at any car audio store

to be honest 500 dollars isnt going to do much my advice to you is go to craigslist.com and get it there yeah its used but for 500 u can get a nice setup
