Can I hook up a capacitor to a mono amp?

How do i hook up a Capacitor to my amp, where can i find a diagram?

    OMFG music4hw What kind of instructions are those!!! They don't even make sense!! Who lets these idiots post on here, uughh!!! Anyway... Assuming it's charged up, the hot (+) wire from the battery connects to the (+) terminal on the cap then to the (+) on the amp. The ground can be made to any part of the metal chassis of the vehicle that's at ground potential and this also connects to the (-) of the cap then to the (-) of the amp.. Your cap works best the closer it is to your amp.Try to keep the total length of your ground less than 18". If you are unsure I would HIGHLY recommend to not do it your self. Caps can be dangerous and possibly deadly. I have been hit before by a small one and almost pooped myself. But if you have to do it.. you wire the two terminals together and disconnect the positve post on the battery.. the positive post gets connected to the positive power on the amp (along with the battery connection) and the negative post gets wired straight to ground. disconnect the two terminals before reconnecting battery.. and make sure its not going to be close to anything it can arc too.

on the top of the capacitor you are going to see where it says line in and line out. the line in is where you hook up the cable coming from your battery. line out is the cable going to your amp. email me at [email protected] i will send you a diagram that will explain everything. good luck

first charge up the capacitor with the given instructions, then direct connect to your amp and battery....
