Fitting a car stereo into my car??? few problems!!!?

If it's a decent radio, they have bullet type connectors on the red & yellow / orange wires, this is so that (in your case) nothing is being stored, simply unplug and connect the red to yellow / orange, and yellow / orange to red.. Simple.

hi mate on the back of your cd player there should be a red wire and a yellow wire and it should be a spade clip so u can connect the yellow wire two the red wire so there connected together this will help keep all the memory or u could try swapping the yellow wire into the red and red into the yellow always works for me

try switching the perm live with the switched live, (maybe yellow and red wires)

It s definately your permanent live wire.If you have your red and yellow wires connected up try switching them around.The yellow is normally your perm live which stores your memory(radio stations and security light etc) and this should go directly to your battery. The red wire is usually your ignition live wire, so when you turn your engine off it will remove all the memory of your radio if this is connected as your perm live.If you are still confused then feel free to e-mail me and i will be able to talk to you in more detail...good [email protected].
