I want to get a better sound system for my car...any suggestions?

What size speakers are you looking for? The amp can't really be determined until you get a wattage range of what speakers you want. Include sizes, and also are you looking into getting subwoofers? Definatley check out sonicelectronix for your shopping as said before.

That's a pretty good budget... Go into Rockford Fosgate brands... Do not listen to that d.u.m.b.a.s.s. and go into Sony Xplods... Worst brand you can get cause they're just products that are cheap for people that don't want to invest in the good crap...

You may want to check out this website, www.sonicelectronix.com. Great deals on there. I'd go for a 12" rockford fosgate t1 sub and a t1000 amp to power it. 750 should be enough for that.

sony xplode tens. only bout 70 buks a pc and r 1100 watt. get 2, ana box which wil run bout a buck and u should get a compacitor to help ur amp witda hard hits. at least a half farad otherwise ur lites wil dim wen da bass hits. and any mosfet wired amp is of acceptable quality. make sur u hav less amps cumin out ur amp than the speakers r rated 4 tho. u can get a good loud pound kikn for 750 bucks no prob
