well yes they will work, but you should build each sub in a band pass box. 2cu ft on the sealed side, 1cu ft on the ported side speaker facing the port side, two round ports 3in by 6in long facing the same direction. they will be very efficient and crossover all on there own, about 120Hz this should work fine. Good luck.

Yes, it's possible, but you gotta make sure your sub isn't wired down pass 4 ohm, otherwise your reciever will go into protect mode. I also suggest you hook up a home sub instead of a car sub. They both are built differently and the home sub will sound alot better. Good Luck.

you can but it would probably be better to buy a sub thats made for home systems, they have boxes that are made for bigger rooms. but if you really want to you could hook up ur subs. i dont know if those are 2 or 4 ohms, or single or double voice coil. but either way, if your goin to be hooking up the subs to a home system amp, you have to hook up the subs to the amp so their in a 8 ohm load. if their 2 ohms, u gotta hook up 4 subs in series to one channel, if their 4 ohms u gotta hook up 2 in series. but if you want to use a car amp, your either gunna have to find or build a power converter that will lower the voltage to 12-14 volts. and if you decide to do that, you can hook up the subs just like you would in your car.

Short answer - Yes. Though I dont know the tecnial aspect, a speaker is a speaker...you just need the power to push it. For a Sub, obviously you'll need a decent amp, and I know you can buy home theater amps at some of the nicer stereo stores, but I'm sure you could find one at a place like Best Buy. I dont know how much power your reciever puts out, but if its too low you'll know it :).

Not worth it you can buy a nice home sub for less than the converter to run your amp off of your home power outlet.
