Does the US post office charge for forwarding mail?

If I don't have a mail delivery at my home. Is it legal to charge me for a box at the post office?

  • my complex dosen't have a mail box.

  • Answer:

If it is a post office proper yes you would have to pay, however your complex should have a mailing address, or a box number you can use at no charge. Contact whoever is in charge of your complex and get a mailing address. When you rent a box at the post office it is for you alone and you would be charged..
