When I was little, My mum used to have to pin me down for injections. I'm still really scared of them now. What I find that helps is not stressing about it before hand (I know its really hard to do but it does help a lot) and get someone to help take your mind off it while they are preparing you for the injection. Like get someone to talk to you about something of interest. It also helps if you start the conversation. It also might help to squeeze a pressure ball or something. Hope I helped ^.^

I hate getting injections to, and it got worse last year (I had to take five of them in one month) but I find focusing on my toes REALLY hard and breathing slowly helps.

Tetanus is definitely not something that you want to take a chance on. The shot is much more benign that getting tetanus. I never liked shots much either, but these days the needles are much smaller and easier to take. I doubt that I can help you overcome your fear; that's something that will come with time. Just remember that this is ultimately good for you and it's a very brief time..
