What happened to my older inbox messages?

Oh my god . logged into my mail & suddenly all of my inbox messages are gone. what could have happened?

    We'll I know that if you don't sign into your hotmail account at least once every 30 days they will delete everything! This happened to me, I lost emails that were over 7 years old, from friends, old GF's, family. I was so pissed and emailed hotmail but they could do nothing for me so I highly suggest you stay away from hotmail they suck!

Yahoo Mail is in beta testing and I would never use it as my main email address. Use one from your ISP in a separate email program and then you have control of storing your mail.

Some evil person could have possibly hacked into your account and deleted them. Go to the trash and see if you can try to recover some messages.

Maybe you have it on a certain setting, like itll delete ALL your old messages after like 30 days or something, not so sure check if u ever gave someone your password and log-in info.
