  • Answer:

It's actually really not that bad. I used to fly when I was younger, but now (I'm 19) flying is scarier than ever before for me. I just freak myself out though. Make sure you have your boarding pass. You can print it out twenty-four hours before your flight, but you can also print it at the actual airport. Go ahead and print it before you get there, it'll be one less thing to worry about. If you're checking in luggage, make sure to bring money, and also make sure to get there about an hour before your flight boards (especially if it's a big airport)! When you get on the plane, it's probably a good idea to try to make friends with the people you sit by. It'll make you a lot more comfortable during the flight. Take some gum for your ears when you lift off, because ear-popping can get somewhat uncomfortable for people. The lift-off can be a little shaky, and some flights can have more turbulence than others, but it's nothing to worry about. Order a drink that won't mess with your stomach (in case you get a little air sick) and bring something like an iPod or book to keep you busy. Good luck!! :)

Did you know it is safer to fly by plane than by car?

Ask a friend to help check you in and walk you to security. Security is easy as long as you are cooperative and take off your shoes, socks, belt, etc. Then look at your ticket and follw the signs. Check with somebody to make sure you are in the right place once at your terminal. The sit and relax until boarding. Once on the airplane, place your carry on luggage above, sit down, and relax. Listen to the instructions that the flight attendent will give you in case of an emergency. If you feel extremely nervous let one of the flight attendents or another passanger know that you feel nervous. They may help you relax. Take of is nothing more then a fast car or roller coaster ride taking off. It pulls you into the seat just a little and then you feel the plane lift off. Chew gum to keep your ears from popping but otherwise it's relaxing and fun. Nothing at all will happen to the flight as there are more then 65,000 flights in the U.S that take off everyday. I understand the anxiety you may feel but I assure you it's really a fun experience. Hope you ahve a great trip and take care.

It isn't that bad I do it all the time for vacation when the plane takes off check gum so you can pop your ears. You will be scared for a little bit in the beginning but then it will be fine. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

If the plane starts bumping and shaking or drops quickly for a second, don't be too afraid. That's just Turbulence and it happens all the time. The pilots know how to deal with it and it's not really that big of a problem. When you take off, you'll notice the fast acceleration pushing you into your chair, and feel your stomach drop a little as you rise quickly. If you remind yourself that you're safe and it's all fine, it's actually a pretty fun experience.

Think about this. So many planes have fell and some passengers on it have probably told they're kids 'oh don't worry sweetie nothing's gonna happen' but out of many planes that one fell. I get shivers just thinking about it. Sorry to scare you sweetie but I would NEVER go by plane. -Megan
