How do I get a read receipt?

How do i get a read receipt for my sent messages so I know the person has read my message?

    In Outlook Express... Create the message and then choose TOOLS.... Request Read Receipt. This is an option you can always have set on or jsut chose it for the appropriate e-mails. Don't forget the recipient will have a choice wether they want to send the acknowledgement back.

if you are using Outlook, when composing the email, click "view" on the toolbar, then "options". Here you can tick the box for request a read receipt. However the recipient has to approve whether to return the read receipt so its not an infallible system. You can use Outlook to read internet email such as Yahoo Mail. Otherwise, there is no option for read receipts, directly within Yahoo.

As far as I'm aware there isn't such a thing on free e-mail accounts .. i can see why tho it'd double the amount of server traffic.

Depends what type of phone you have but i think you should find it in settings and tick reply received button.
