How can I get an audio alert when I get a new e-mail?

Yahoo email alert... Am I the only idiot that can't figure out how to get yahoo email alerts when new mail

comes in?? Sometimes it works when I have logged into Messenger, sometimes it doesnt. I have the 7.0 toolbar... It is driving me nuts... On the "yahoo tour" on the tool ...show more

You say you've got Toolbar. However, you must be signed in to your Yahoo account for Toolbar to be able to see if there are any mails for you. (It doesn't auto-connect, you have to do this manually.) If it sees unread mail in the account, it will put a bell on the little mail icon.
