  If there was a directory with everyone's email address, our computers would be getting hacked into, loaded with spam and scams at an incredible rate. If you made an enemy in school or work, they could get your email and sign you up on porn sites--child porn sites..call the police on you. All types of bad things. Even worse, is people who are new online. There's so much trouble with simple things like people getting letters from Yahoo, wanting them to verify their password. People respond, & its not even from Yahoo. They arent experienced enough to know this. Nor do they realize other scams like lottery scams, inheritance, employment scams etc. Its just too risky. You cant even post an address on Y!A without being at risk.
