Why can't I open the attachments on my emails?

Why cant I download attachments I am receiving in my emails? It shows atch when I receive it, but when you open emIL there are no attachment?

I am encountering the same problem. The issue seems to occur for emails coming from any author where the author's signature card has a lot of URL and picture inserts.
