How do I get files to open via attachments?

I am receiving attachments that will not open. How can I open these files? I have Norton Anti Virus that says they are OK but they still will not open. If I go to another computer I ...show more

Below the icon of the attachment is the name of the file you are trying to open. See if you can recognize the type of file from the last 3 characters of the name. For example, .pdf for a file opened by Acrobat Reader, .doc for a MS Word document, .jpg for a picture. Then right click on the attachment and choose "Open With". From the list of possible programs to open the file choose the one that corresponds to the type of file.

You will have to save them to your computer and then right click on them and open them with the correct program. My friend had this same problem and got a computer person to fix the problem. I don't know why this happens.
