How to open an attachment in yahoo e-mail?

Why can't new yahoo mail open any email that has an attachment? Did they change something?

  • it is NOT a problem with the format of the attachments. If I switch to yahoo classic, the emails open instantly. But when I try to open them from new yahoo mail, they just never open.

    This same thing happened in 2008 and 2009 when Yahoo was updating the site. You could not fix it. As soon as Yahoo finished working, the attachments opened easily. It has been happening again for the last 2 weeks but it does not affect everyone. Switching from one type of account to another has not been working. None of the normal troubleshooting tips are working. You are the first to report that attachments open in Classic when they failed in New Mail. Notify help.yahoo.com but they already know about the many problems (many users can not get into their email at all) Someday ymailblog.com will be used to keep us updated about the current problems and possible workarounds.
