    No special programs are needed if you have XP or Vista. Just right click on the folder and select "send to compressed file". Attach that file to the email. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪

you can try to attach the folder but if your ISP wont allow a large file to be attached then it cant go unless you compact it using winzip , download " winzip " and follow instructions tell neice to download winzip too as she has to unzip the folder so she can read the folder . or put it on limewire , tell her the name of the file she downloads and voila ! if limewire will let you but i am sure you can upload to limewire a folder .

You can compress the folder into an archive using a program called WinRAR. There is a way of avoiding this way if you don;t want to install another program. Create a new ZIP Folder (.zip)(Right click and click on create new compressed file) and drag the folder there. The pc then treats this as an individual file which you can send on hotmail/. Hope this helps ;D
