Why can I download attachments using Yahoo Classic Mail, but not using newer Yahoo Mail?

After 10 years of using Yahoo mail can't download attachments????

Sorry Ooops is dead wrong about this one - I have the exact same problem, started within the last week - THIS IS NOT A BROWSER SETTINGS OR FILE TYPE ISSUE, THE PROBLEM IS ACCOUNT SPECIFIC!. If I switch to another yahoo account, same browser, (FireFox or IE) same PC, same connection, I can download attachments as usual. If I then login to my 14 year old yahoo email account I get a behavior described in the EIGHT MONTH OLD SLN5305 http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&y=PROD_MAIL_CLASSIC&locale=en_US&id=SLN5305&impressions=true which is " Virus scan says "complete" but nothing happens when clicking continue." My fear is that our downloads are in fact going SOMEWHERE (to be scanned for ID, credit card, bank info perhaps) but not to us - COME ON YAHOO PEOPLE, we're not all idiots out here. This is a real, crippling and scary problem

I had the same troubles. But I found a solution. I you have any email other than yahoo like aol, gmail, school email, etc... forward the message to that email (not a yahoo email). then go to your other email and open the file. I hope it works for you
