How do i make my paper a .DOC file and not a .WPS file?

go to the actual file on the comp, right click, click rename, then delete the .wps, and write .doc. it should say "are you sure you want to change file format?" click yes and you are done. hope that helps

If it's a Microsoft program ... you should be able to save as DOC. When saving, select the file type menu and look for DOC. If it's not there then you will need to use something like Microsoft Word instead, or even Wordpad should let you save as DOC.

It must be typed in Microsoft Word in order it to be saved as a .doc file. Your school computers should have it on them.
