Why is it that Yahoo Mail does not automaticaly open attachments?

Why can't I download or open attachments in my yahoo mail?

  • I can no longer open or download file attachments in my yahoo mail. I can open and download those same files in gmail and outlook.

i finaly got it working..had to delete my shortcut in my bookmarks and enter yahoos homepage http://www.yahoo.com/, open mail and it worked. All this f...... around becouse of and old bookmark..Yahoo should really inform their users better, and update their help page..while they have users...

Ever since the Xtra site was hacked I have been unable to open anything in the Yahoo site - I am forced to forward any mail with attachments to another email address that opens in my Outlook programme so I can open them - very frustrating

i am having the same problem, I am using Google Chrome and am not able to find a way around this.

You may try the following before saving or attaching files: - Turn on Full Session HTTPS. - Use a different web browser. - Check email security level and settings of your antivirus. Using Enternet E - when I compose a letter - none of the special icons (capitol, underline, etc) work. If I click on an extension in an email - everything goes blank? I think Chrome - will work - going to switch. J.R.
