go to http://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user You'll have to put in your user name and password and it should prompt you for all the steps from there.

Stop using it. That's the easiest way to get rid of it. After awhile it will become dormant and lock you out. I have opened like 20 yahoo accounts over the years. You can open as many as you want. It's thinking up a unique, unused login ID that's the tough part.

U can't cancel it, just leave it dormant for 3 months and it will be auto deleted. At least that's what yahoo told me last year.
