Hi, How do I cancel my email account ?

  • I am trying to cancel an email account but I cannot find an option anywhere? Does anyone know how to cancel a Yahoo email account please.

First of all I have Bt Yahoo! which comes with BT Broadband accounts. Nevertheless it is still the same concept. Go to : https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user. Then enter your sign in details. There will be a short form for you to fill in which will ask why you want to terminate your Yahoo! account and whether you understand the consequences of doing so or not. If you delete your Yahoo! account then you will lose: Your Yahoo! email address , login and avatar Access to Yahoo! services that require a log in Access to Shoutcast or any other affiliated Yahoo! services. However information that Yahoo! holds on you will not be deleted immediatly. They will eventually delete it but there are certain bits of info that they will keep on you. It can never be recovered and your email address wil remain unusable and will not bea availible for use for 180 days. When the 180 days period is up you can then choose that same login name and email address again and start anew. I don't work for Yahoo! by the way... I just use them because Google is taking over the internet and almost wants global online and computer dominiation. Google is the giant beast that won't die.
