How can I close my e-mail address?

I want to know how to close my email or change my email address.I don't like all the email junk.?

    go your provider's web site and change it there you can add mail boxes you can add aliases Having added aliases you can disable your primary address in your e-mail reader Also have a look at QUICK DELETE www.yeti-soft.de that nifty little program allows you to delete e-mails from the server (without ever downloading them) if using web based mail (like Yahoo or hotmail.... my remarks may not apply)

Just contact your e-mail provider and tell them you want to close the account then open a new one! Here are directions: http://www.ehow.com/how_7341_transfer-new-e.html Good Luck! Make sure that you get a written confirmation that your account is closed if it is an account you pay for. Many times they will continue to charge you after you close an account. If you have an e-mail stating the account was closed, you can show it to the credit card company and they will stop the charges. Good Luck!

I have a spam blocker and never get junk mail...it goes straight to spam for deletion. You can E-Mail Yahoo Customer Care......they are really kind..and on top of things..and will get back to you within 24 hrs,

Hello: Well Its no problem to open up an e-mail address under pretty much any system even if you already have one. As for closing the old one...if you do not log into it for X amount of months...4ish usually...then it will be closed and held in suspension should you log back in. all the mail will be deleted in there though. it depends what website your email account is on. unfortunately some sites dont let you close your account. just make a new one and dont ever check your old one. if you dont log on for a while, some sites automatically close your account.
