Answer:
A few things to check on your server. 1. Spelling - is it correct? 2. Does your server require authentication to receive mail? Enable if so. 3. Firewall - turn it off to test, if no difference, turn it back on. 4. Was this a migration or a fresh email account add? I would add another to make sure everything was entered correctly. Hope it helps.

You should have written down the webmail settings of the old email software before loading the new software. You now have a new email software. But it does not have the setting entered for accessing your webmail. Look for help here: http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/tips/mail-settings.html If you ask this question again, it will be pointless unless you provide the following: What is the name of your new email software with XP? What is the name of your webmail provider? What is the problem you are having (if you get it set up and partially working)? Otherwise it is like asking for help to fix your car without telling us the make, model and year, and the symptoms. I am medical mostly, but even police detectives have similar rules. Same for mechanics and software assistance. Funny thing the similarities of all life. P.S. There is a free email software that is excellent called IncrediMail. It has an installation wizard. You download the "Free IncrediMail XP" version which you can seek via Google. IncrediMail free version does not send LARGE attachments, you can use Yahoo Mail for that. Otherwise it is PERFECT, even FAR BETTER for most purposes, you will see.... Be sure to use Control Panel, Set Defaults, to choose which email software you want to favor for most things. There is a good chance IncrediMail will do set up completely automatically for you if you tell it where your webmail is. To avoid confusing the IncrediMail installer with settings not made or not working in current email software, I would recommend NOT entering those settings there before trying IncrediMail. If you do not need to send large attachments from your PC email software, you could UNINSTALL the nonfunctional email software. Do not do anything in a rush. Work slowly with brain engaged. Stick to these instructions supplemented only by what you truly know FOR SURE. If you try anything experimental, limit that to one things at a time. If that one thing does not help, put it back the way it was.
