Why does my Yahoo Mail look diferent & function different?

    Yahoo mail SUCKS now, whose bright idea was it to make these changes? They should be FIRED! Why do people always feel the need to change something that is perfect just like it is. One of the Answers above was they have to pay for yahoo mail. You do NOT have to pay for yahoo mail if you use basic yahoo mail, if you want to use yahoo mail plus then you have to pay. But yahoo mail plus is just a rip off to me, you just need to switch to BASIC email service.

This is complete crap, the new look feels like I'm using some stripped down browser on a Tablet or something, VERY NOT HAPPY!!!! I pay for my Yahoo mail service. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the new "look" of Yahoo Mail. This is a great way to make your customers stop paying for your service. I hope someone at Yahoo gets their head out of their *** and stops this kind of retarded business practice.

Mine is different also, most notably the colors are different and my Yahoo Messenger status no longer shows even though I am signed in.

Ditto to all who wrote before me!! The new Yahoo mail is AWFUL!!!!!!! I opened my mail this morning and thought something was wrong because it looks so generic and the functionality isn't what it was. So I googled it and ended up here. Glad I know it's the norm now ... but HATE it!!!!

Same thing here. I thought it had displayed the 'basic' version because my internet signal was low. My theme was gone and some of the functions. I hate their 'improvement'. Those things never turn out to be improvements at all and you can bet the changes were made to make something easier or more profitable for them, not us. It's never about the customer, just the bottom line. One of the other answers said they pay for their Yahoo mail. I was surprised at that since I thought it was an entirely free email service. Interesting.

I don't like it. It is NOT functional. Yuk to the 10th Power!!!

Yahoo changed the design as of today for EVERYONE and you can't go back. They call it an "improvement" - we call it ugly and generic, and not even a complete design because some options don't even work.
