Why can't I pull up my Yahoo home page?

Why cant i pull up yahoo home page or check my email right now?

    I just saw something on my verizon central page on that. There was a hacker sending emails that the verizon robot detected some type of virus. If you opened this email you get a virus. Better call up verizon and get some tech support on it before it possibly crashes your computer. I've had too many problems with them since the very beginning. Can't wait for June when my contract expires. Good luck.

Yahoo is not addressing the question. I also couldn't access a server for FTP as well. Is there an internet problem today??
