LOL this is a joke isn't it? Good one. If it's a genuine question, forgive me for laughing. The website below has Darwin's average temperatures in Farenheit. http://www.auinfo.com/darwin-climate.html

The Summer temperature in Darwin is about 31C (88F) and stinking hot. The winter temperature is a freezing 30C (86F) above zero, stinking hot and humid. Darwin is in the tropical zone not far from the Equator. The last time it snowed there, Mammoths walked the Earth. The only way it will ever be colder and dryer in Darwin is if you change the air conditioner settings. Southern hemisphere seasons are the opposite to those experienced in the Northern hemisphere. January in Darwin is the height of Summer. You could rent a snow making machine. Chances are though that it would melt before it hits the ground.

They are saying the next Ice Age will be in 7000 - 10000 years so you might be able to snow ski then. Though much evidence shows there wasn't much snow or glaciation during the last major Ice age about 30000 years ago so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Dude you gonna have to wait until the next ice age..the last time they got snow there was about 10000 years ago.
Cold Hard Reality
If it's too hot and humid now then January will be totally unbearable for you as it is for most people who don't live there. Where the heck do you think Darwin in the Northern Territory actually is? Alaska? January is the middle of the "wet season" which means 100% humidity. I think possibly you're still a "bit drunk" or just trolling.

if you're under the impression that its currently winter in darwin, why would you go there in january- summer, for a 'colder and dryer' climate?? hhhahah. i just read your 'additional details' im guessing you're from darwin, had an unusually hot day recently?? haha. the first part was almost believable actually
