    its a great country have lived here al my life , weathers great, a bit cold in winter but only for about 4 months , in summer it can get up 45c , the people are great , most of them , well the government , can complain but they are alright ,expensive, no a lot less than the States, and yes as we have quite a few over hear

Weather generally good, much better than UK. However depending on what part of Australia you can be suffering a drought. The people are generally proud of their country and do not want winging poms moaning about the heat etc. I found them to be very friendly. No more expensive than the UK

Weather? It 100% Depends where in Australia. So different eveywhere. People? Most say very friendly. Laidback usually. Government? It depends what you compare it to. Expensive? It's expensive to live anywhere! Reccomend? Sure, if they want to come. :) It's all a personal preference thing.

The weather differs from city to city. Brisbane has warm winters with hot humid summers which is the rain season. Sydney has colder weather but its pretty mild. Melbourne is either freezing or really hot. Perth is Hot and Dry. People are nice Brisbane people are more laid back and generally more australian. Sydneys more fast paced. But all the aussies are nice people and its way more expensive then america but our low and average incomes are higher. Im from Brisbane and alot I mean alot of Califorinians live here Cuz its around the same temp.

More of a nanny state than the US. is it expensive to live there? Yes. would you recommend an american to live there? Not really any great benefit overall.

It's all great and cheap, except the internet connection aren't good. As stupid as that sounds, it really does get annoying when your stuck with a slow connection or limited quota no matter where you live in Australia.
