What city is better to live in, Melbourne or Sydney?

  • Answer:

If you dont like rain you wont like Melbourne. Both cities are in dire need of social services. Both are much the same in terms of culture and pubs. Almost all pubs are beer barns - blasting music, jostling to get a drink, very expensive prices and poor service. If you like AFL - Melbourne is really good for that. You can almost always get in to a game for around $20. Melbourne has trams which are handy but slow. The average speed of a tram is 16km/h which is the slowest in the world! How much you will like the move depends on where you live now and what your reasons for moving are. In you live in Perth then the Melbourne CBD is much better. Far less bogans and things stay open reasonable hours!
