I want to do college in the UK but live in us.

I live in the u.s but i want to attend college in the uk, preferably in manchester any ideas?

  • Answer:

University of Manchester UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology). Both fine institutions with world-class teaching and facilities, and Manchester is an interesting and vibrant city, which is much cheaper than London.

First, it's university, not college. :) Next, attending university in the U.K. is expensive for international students. You might want to opt for an exchange year from an American university instead. That is what I did, and I don't regret it, especially since I was able to use my scholarship money toward my school expenses. Either way, Manchester will be more reasonable in regard to cost of living than London is, but still, you'll need lots of money. Finally, there's the student visa. Look on the UKBA website for more information. It's been about 10 years since I applied for a student visa, and it was a pain (I studied in France). I was so grateful to have my university to help me with it, but even then, it was still quite a process. Good luck...
