London is very expensive. Even if you save on cheaper food and try not to spend much when going out... rent is already too expensive for a budget like that. You may want to try to arrange a cheaper housing accommodation, maybe staying with a family with children and helping out with tasks. Good luck!

If you know enough about living here then it CAN be done. You'd have to accept renting a room and sharing facilities, no apartment for you alone. All of your other expenses would need to be carefully managed. Unfortunately the kind of local knowledge required is exactly the sort you will lack as a newcomer. Your best chance is having friends already here to guide you through it.
