Answer:
Depends on when you book and what offers are on, however you will be committing fraud, as a tourist you are allowed in for only a certain amount of time without a visa, and you know that, so when you are stopped, held and deported, then banned for a number of years from returning to the UK.. in the age of computer databases and shared information to stop illegals and terrorists enjoy your detention before removal..........

Walk.
I'm not sure your passport masterplan will work. Cheapest way is bus to Dover, overnight ferry, bus or train to Paris.

Eurostar trains from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord in 2 hours 15 minures city centre to city centre is the best route. To get the cheapest fares £69 return you need to book well in advance. There is a passport check www.eurostar.com

If you are only going for a day, the cheapest way - a bus - is not going to work for you. Have a look at the prices on the Eurostar and compare these with flights with Ryanair and easyJet, but bear in mind that the flights do not get you to the centre of Paris (so you have to pay to get there) whereas the train does.
If you are going for the day your choices are really only to fly or take the Eurostar, driving would take 'too' long to be worth the trouble. Of the two look out for cheap flights. I don't know if you'd have any problem using two separate passports, why don't you just use one of them?

sometime flight cheaper than train - if you have a good deal with the budget airlines (Ryan air, Easy jet etc). with airfrance will cost you : £ 117 (from Heathrow) and with easy jet £123.53 (from London Luton) i think that probably faster if you take a train from london to paris. it will take you another hour to get into the central of paris but with the train you will arrive in the middle of the city (station paris nord). how to get to waterloo train station london: Heathrow Central (1-2-3) Rail Station Take the Heathrow Express towards Paddington National Rail Stn Paddington National Rail Stn Walk to Paddington Paddington Underground Station Take the Bakerloo Line towards Elephant & Castle

The cheapest way is the Euro Tunnel but sometimes you can get a good deal with Eurostar
