Answer:
Highly variable.......... British guys can range from this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2260749/A-level-pupils-fear-jumped-feral-gang-foul-mouthed-year-olds-wallet-stolen.html .... and some not too far removed from the characters in the "Sid the Sexist" cartoons from the VIZ comics..... To similar to these guys at the better end of the scale:

I'm a Midwestern American gal like you. I love London, been there a couple times. You'll find that you can't really pinpoint what men or boys in one city are like. They all have their individual preferences. In my personal experiences, the American accent provoked attention and was interesting to them. I found that people in London, and elsewhere in the U.K., are open-minded and not quick to brand a person just because of the actions of one former politician. If you are kind, polite, and willing to listen and learn more than you talk, you'll be just fine (of course, if you're talking to a guy who's interested in you, he'll want to learn about you too). :) I have always had very positive experiences visiting London. There was only one time a Londoner was remotely rude to me; he was already a little drunk and dismissed me as a "mad American" when some mutual friends introduced us. I just chuckled, shrugged, and walked away. Yet, a little while later, guess who came back over by me, literally made all the other guys sitting near me move away from me, then hit on me the rest of the evening. It was an interesting experience... Not everyone will be "big city suave," in fact, I found London to be one of the more down-to-earth cities I have visited. Don't go crazy with the alcohol - when you drink, stay with your friends.

Toby is right. If you come to London, especially in the Summer, just like you the natives go away on holiday. There will be lots of tourist in all the spots you go to, including the waitors etc in coffee shops and your hotels. If you're in school you'll be too young to go into pubs and clubs, and the latest news in the UK is a US teacher getting the sack for letting some of her 18 year old kids have a glass of wine when they were in France, so I highly doubt your teachers will be letting you go out. And places won't accept someone who's underage.

Drinking age is 18. And they are strict, Although the drinking age is 18 they have a strict if you look under 21 they wont serve you and some places its 25. You need passport as proof. As they wont take any other form of ID really. so dont lose it. Well if your hoping to be swept of your feet by a nice english guy, there either engaged married or complete idiots. London is expensive. For a coffee in london its about £3/£4 for one cup. No refill. They wont hold George Bush against you, no ones that fussed about US politics. Also im pretty sure that your school wont let you go off drinking in london. I was in london on an over night stop with my school recently and although we were aloud in london till 10pm we had to be back by 10, and had to stay in the hotel. Londons big and scary at night. I grew up in nyc (born in england) moved back to england just outside of london when i was 12 met a boy at 13. asked me out at 14.. 5years on and engaged at christmas.. Thats my story :)

I'm an English boy and I like Americans. Couple of my friends have a unhealthy obsession with America. So in my experience we love American chicks

We're not interested in your ugly accents and dumb downed language of our version. We prefer exotic foreigners like South Americans.
