Help with planning a Trip to London and Paris?

We were in London for 4 nights and Paris for 7 and then onto Italy and never needed a car. We are a family of four and found the trains and public transportation very easy to use. We bought a Metro pass, which you can get in different increments of time like a 3 day pass, that will get you around without having to fumble around for Euros. Don't forget that when you are in London you will be using Pounds and France is a different currency. That took a little adjustment for us, as we started off in dollars. Also France is an hour ahead of London time. Lots to take in, but helpful to know ahead of time when planning your transport from one country to the next. There is a lot to say about both countries. I cannot advise you on budget accomodations, as again it was part of our package, but there are a lot of great reviews on this site as well . I usually book everything online. Especially if you are going overseas, due to the language barrier and time differences. prefer jeans and shirts it makes you fell comfortable all the time.
