How much do the spa services on the Carnival cruises cost?

Is food free on cruises?I never been on cruise. How much do the services on cruises cost?

  • more specifically carnival elation. And how were your experiences on carnival elation

  • Answer:

We went on the carnival Liberty. It was great. The way it works is that you used their ship sail card, it works like a credit card and they bill you at the end. All food was free as was room service at any time day or night. A tip is a nice gesture. If you order any booze/spirits they will add it to your ship sail card. Soda is also for sale, however there is a card that you can purchase and that will allow you to get soda anytime and not pay again. Juice, tea coffee and hot chocolate, milk and water are free. Then there are the ice cream machines, all over the ship free. If the food is anything like to one on the liberty you will be happy. As for the gambling you can also get that from you ship sail card. It is a good idea to put money on your books so that you do not have a big surprising bill at the end of the cruise. Also they will be charging you a gratuity fee that amounts to about $8 a person. And then they will ask you to provide a tip for your mature' D' from your dining restaurant not the lido deck. I hope that your trip is as memorable as ours was Bon Voyage !

I have cruised with Carnival twice. All the food is included and there is a TON of it. There is an all you can eat buffet that is open most of the time and even if it is closed they have 24 hours pizza's and you can get room service (but you should tip the steward). The dinners in the dining room are fabulous! Gourmet food prepared to look like $75 dishes and you can order as much of whatever you want as you want. It is a great time to experiment with different foods since you don't have to pay to get something else. I highly recommend trying the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake for desert! It is awesome. Beverages are a different story. If you want to drink soda, your going to have to pay for it and they only have a few choices. But you can drink water, juice, milk and I think Ice Tea all for free.

Congrats on your first cruise.. you will love it! My fiance and I took our first cruise on the Carnival Imagination this past January. Cruising as a concept is awesome!!! There is so much to do, even the most restless passengers will be constantly entertained. It is also great that you get to see more than one country in one trip. The food is all included, except for specialty restaurants that have a cover charge. It is still very affordable... on Royal Caribbean, the most expensive restaurant has a cover charge of $35 per person, and that is for the most posh, fancy-shmancy place on board. Unfortunately, alcohol is not included, and with those little room-key / credit card type things it is easy to get carried away! On Carnival boats, every day they will have a feature blended drink. They will walk around serving them in these really fun cups, and they taste amazing. Have a great time! You will love it!!!

Other than "specialty" restaurants and a very few other things, food is included in your cruise fare, as is all onboard entertainment and activities. Extra are charges for painted-on "tatoos", spa services, alcoholic and soft drinks, what you buy in the shops, shore excursions, and money for gambling. You can spend a fortune or not, depending on your interests.

The ticket you pay for is free for drinks (Juice sometimes coffee), all on board meals in the buffet, the main dining room, and some alternative restaurants.( That depends on which cruise you go on, but main dining and buffet come with ticket). Alternative dining costs from $2 to $35 per person but that also depends on which cruise line you are taking. However, soda's on board are not free and neither are alcoholic drinks, they have menu prices with a 15% gratuity added. If you desire these drinks, you can buy some kind of drink pass, some are prepaid to a certain limit, and others are unlimited. So at the end, it only depends on which cruise line you go on.
