How is the Norwegian cruise line?

HI i am going on a Norwegian cruise line cruise worth $499 with a family of 3 how much do i pay?

  • someone please break it down for me cause it really confuses me

  • Answer:

You need to know much more than just the price. If you've never cruised before, you'll need to do some research before you can go to a travel agent to book your cruise. Your library has books on cruising, or you can use on-line information sites. You say the cruise is "worth $499" - not sure what you mean. I'm guessing the cruise is priced "from $499", which would mean that's the lowest possible fare for the lowest-grade cabin, and that may or may not be available. You'd be paying $499 per person, unless the cruise line is offering special rates for 3rd/4th travelers in the same cabin [which will be VERY crowded, by the way - the cabins are TINY]. That's your base fare; then you add taxes and fees and on-board expenses, e.g. drinks [soda/alcohol/special coffees], gratuities of about $10 per passenger per day, premium restaurants [if you choose to indulge], spa treatments, shore excursions [for which you'll need to do more research on your ports of call], etc. Also add air fare and a hotel for the night before the cruise, if you're flying. That cruise could easily cost $1000 per person in total. [And, Norwegian is the cruise line of least quality of the mass-market lines, although there are lots of NCL fans out there.] In addition to considering price, you'll need to choose a date, a cabin type and cabin location, itinerary, length of cruise, etc. before you can book. There's way too much to know for anyone to post here, and even if you go to a travel agent, he/she will have lots of questions about these options, so you need to know what you want.

Okay its 499 per person so 1497 or 1800 w government fees. You will be paying 599 including government fess 699 if you need a passport and 999 if you want souvenirs just save 1k and just split up everything 599 for cruise 100 for passport and the rest for Shore excursions and activities not included in your cruise fare! Happy Cruising!

$499 per person - SO multiplied times 3 that's $1500 Your "share" would be $499

That question isn't entirely clear. You WITH a family of three means FOUR parties are going, and $499*4 = $1996. However, 499/4 = 124.75. Clarification would be nice. Other possible answers: $499*3 = $1497 $499/3 = $166.33
