Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise lines?

Carnival was my first cruise experience and we LOVED it! No complaints at all. I was nervous about some of the reviews as well. But I put them out of mind and went with the mentality that not everyone is going to be pleased. My next cruise is with NCL but I would book with Carnival again. PS We had an ocean view room and it was very spacious.

We had a great time.The first night we heard a noise like someone was slamming a dresser drawer.We told the front desk and they sent an engineer to investigate.One of the luggage carts got loose beneath our cabin so they gave us a $100 on board credit! No other complaints.The food was fantastic and the staff all very friendly.

I've never been on Carnival, but I've found Royal Caribbean fantastic in every way. I don't have one complaint.

While RCL has generally better food and depending on the ship more variety of on board activities, Carnival typically has the largest rooms. When you have an inside cabin every extra sq foot counts. The items listed for RCL reflects the fact that RCL is usually more expensive than a Carnival Cruise. Both lines' ships are very clean and the staffs are fantastic. However, since my kids are all grown up can't say anything about the kids programs. I rather look at the itinerary and pick the itinerary

FOOD, --- Carnival and R.C. are equal in this department. RC's dining room is more elegant but carnival is more fun ON BOARD ACTIVITIES, - Carnival has things for all ages.
