Do cruise companies bargain?

Is Caribbean Cruise Line a good bargain cruise?

  • I got an offer for a 3 day cruise and checked their website and it would SEEM like they have a bunch of fun stuff to do. I could REALLY use a vacation and I like the idea of not ...show more

  • Answer:

Looking at all the stuff on their website, I would go for the cruise in a heartbeat. I don't know if you could get to do and see it all on a 2 day cruise but it would be a cost effective way to check it out and plan a longer cruise later in the year. And there is no way you would spend even half of what you would spend at a park if you are brining the family.

Rod, If you have never experienced a cruise, I suggest you try it. The prices are pretty terrific now... lower than usual. So now may be your best time to experiment. When comparing costs consider that they rarely advertise all the taxes and fees. None include tips, and you should plan on at least $10 to $15 per day in tips. After you have all your costs, divide by the number of days and come up with your per person, per day price. Cruises include all food... everything. I am familiar with Carnival where pizza, ice cream or snacks are available 24/7, as is room service. The buffets change several times a day, and are long and great! Dining rooms are opulent and gourmet... service excellent. There is entertainment of all kinds, every day. Contests, fun games, activities to keep kids out of the way, pools, spas, gyms, ping-pong, miniature golf, etc. Karaoke, piano bars, discos, jazz combos, art auctions, and full on Las Vegas style floor shows. All of this... everything on-board is included in your price. The only thing you have to pay extra for is alcohol, and items you purchase on shore or in the shops. Your cabin steward cleans your room twice a day, offers turn-down service with a chocolate on the pillow, fresh ice, towel animals, and whatever else he can get, he will get if you ask. You don't to drive, worry about the car, packing every day, or spending 100% of your time with the same people. Once you get on a ship... your group can be independent and pick what activities they want to do... together or apart. My guess is that dollar for dollar... your cruise is a good bet. Do your math and decide... but you can tell where I'd be, and will be in October!

A cruise is a great deal. Just make sure everything is legit. The best part of a cruise is that everything is included! You get your food, room and board, entertainment, room service and sunsets all free with the cruise price.Depending on the cruise line you may be able to buy a soft drink card for about $25 and once you show the card you get unlimited soft drinks for the entire cruise. The down side of the cruise is checking in as it sometimes takes long but once that is over everything is all right. Also if you get sea sick is a negative but you can take medicine for that. If you want to save I would pick the cruise. If you do not want the cooped up feeling then I would pick Busch Gardens or Universal. Remember on a cruise there really is no bugs or burning hot sun to get at you,
