I watched Harry Potter too... but haven't seen any flying cars lately. You are being slightly over-engaged... and perhaps a little silly. Millions of people cruise every year, and if you can be one of them you are one lucky kid. There is sooo much to do and see. To not go, or to go and be afraid would be a terrible waste of a wonderful opportunity. Put these thoughts out of your mind... go and have a good time.

At least you didn't see TITANIC!! or Poseidon adventure

I know this sounds silly, but take a toy that you can squeeze or hold onto when you get nervous on the Cruise Ship. ...cruise ships aren't that bad. They actually get fun when you let yourself be. By the way, that was just a movie, definitely too unrealistic to be true.

There was another question that was quite similar to this one. My answer is the same; Please don't believe everything you see or hear in the movies, tv, or at the amusement park. When was the last time you saw a big hotel tip over or bump into something? A cruise ship is very similar to being in a large hotel. In fact, the inside of a ship doesn't really look much different from a fancy hotel, and a lot of times, once you are inside, it's easy to forget you are even on a ship. You might feel a little bit of vibration and slight rocking movement, but this is usually very minimal. It's not much different from what you'd feel when riding an elevator. In fact, the ride will probably be smoother. Once you go, you are probably going to look back on all of this and realize you were worrying yourself sick over nothing. Be grateful you have the means to experience cruising. Do you realize how many others out there would LOVE to be in your shoes? You should be so lucky! My parents never took me on nice trips like that. Just GO! You'll be glad you did!

Don't worry about those things. They pretty much never happen. You have a better chance of something bad happening on the drive to the ship than you do on the actual ship. The only time it gets bad is if you go to shore in some really sketchy area like parts of Jamaica. But still, nothing bad happened then.
