Who would have won a no holds barred fight between Bruce Lee and David Carridine?

    First of all, you would never have gotten David to agree to fight Bruce. Carridine was not that stupid. I was in the Martial Arts (Full Contact Karate) for a few years when I was younger. I use to spar and compete against some very good Martial Artists. One day my best friend and I stopped at a Kung Fu bookstore in Houston Texas and bought several books. A couple of them were written by Bruce Lee. My friend and I began training on our own using Lee's teachings. The change was remarkable. Within two months we became the best fighters in our area. We were even beating black belts. I was a green belt and he was a blue belt at the time. Needless to say, our instructors were less then pleased. There is a lot of politics in the Martial Arts. Everyone wants to believe that their style is the best. Bruce Lee was no fake. He could beat anyone alive in his day or this day. I like the Kung Fu series for it's philosophy, but did you know that the ideal for the Kung Fu series was Bruce Lee's? He was the original creator of the show and was suppose to play the main role of Kwai Chang Caine but the shows Producers were afaid that American TV viewiers in those days would not accept an Asian American in a lead role. So they chose Carridine instead. Bruce left to make Martial Arts movies in China and became famous. I'd say he was way ahead of his time in more ways than one.

You are joking, right? Everyone know's it would have been Bruce Lee. I have to ask, did you know that Bruce Lee had to slow himself down for the cameras that were recording him?

Interesting note...inthe original Kung fu series from the 70's David Carridine din't hve any formal martial arts training at the time...he learned all the moves prior to the filming of each scene. It was AFTER beginning work on the series that he began his training, which was AFTER Bruce Lee's death. That being said...I have to go with Bruce Lee...More formal training, more practical experience...and Bruce Lee trained specifically for increased speed, something that many martial artists don't do as a specialization. He was able to use is strength in concert with that speed for impressive results.
