What are the best martial arts to do?

Whats the best martial art, I think its Jeet Kune Do? What is the best Martial Arts club in the West Mids?

  • Whats the best food you can take before a gym or martial arts lesson that is legit?

  • Answer:

one style vs another with knowledge of only the style UV been taught and its definitely Brazilian jiu jitsu and was proven through no hold barred and vale tudo matches in Brazil and north America in the 80s and early 90 but with Cross training available to every one then i would say a mix of bjj muay Thai and free style wrestling and maybe some learning of small joint manipulation the uv probably got the ultimate fighter that's just my opinion jeet kune do was a valiant attempt to create a all encompassing martial art by the great Bruce lee but the problem there is he didn't have enough time. jeet kune dos ground techniques cannot be match to sambo, b jiu jitsu or judo the the throw and take down techniques cannot be compared to freestyle wrestling or judo the punching and elbowing techniques are not as realistic as muay thai kickboxing but to try to Incorporated everything was a hard task and Bruce lee did a descent job

Hi there The best art is the one that suits you. There are no good martial arts only good practitioners. A style can not be judged buy how effective it is? That's down to the individual and application and not the UFC? Best not to eat before training. Try to allow at least 2 hours for your food to digest and water is the best thing drink plenty before and during. Any teacher that wont let you stop to drink when you are dehydrated is just plain silly.

JKD was great when it was in the 60´s and 70´s but it has evolved. That´s exactly what Bruce wanted. There are many still arguing about what Bruce said and did. Sorry, but Bruce is dead and he´s not coming back. He never wanted people to focus on him--he wanted them to focus on their own self growth. And the question is--are you? THe next evolution of JKD has gone to Combat JKD and then to the more evolved and battle tested (which is the only thing that counts--results--think about it) Comhrac Bas. It´s iconoclastic beyond what Bruce even did. Take a look and leave your baggage behind. You will be glad you did. And the life of you and your family will be better for it.

A good well rounded style would be freestyle Karate. You will learn stand up,ground, grappling and weapons. What a lot of people don't understand is that freestyle Karate is about practical street defence not who can kick the highest or punch a pad the hardest. It's definitely not a sport martial art like TKD or BJJ.The motto of my style is the best of everything in progression.Basically that means we don't care where the technique comes from we improve it and integrate it into our style while still maintaining tradition as do most freestyle Karate's. The hardest thing is finding a good experienced instructor.I would recommend Bushi Kai or Zen Do Kai, but if your not in Australia or New Zealand you may have some difficulty finding some one who teaches these styles. These styles also usually have separate classes available to everyone in Muay Thai and BJJ/Submission/Shoot wrestling. If you can't find one of these i would suggest Kempo or Enshin or another freestyle Karate. i usually eat small children before a class and big children before a fight.

BUSHIDO

High School Wrestling It is the perfect base, it teaches how to fight against a resistive opponent at a young age and with friends. If you want you can go to a college and earn a scholarship as well thru this martial art. Whats funny is that alot of people don't consider it a martial art till they see Ground and Pound in action.
