Answer:
Street fighting at its most extreme potential is lethal combat without rules or restrictions. The reality of each individual fight may never actualize the full potential of lethal violence, but the potential exists ad infinitum until the conflict is resolved. The best is the one that teaches ALL concepts and strategies of combat that you, as an individual, can fully understand and apply under the circumstances of a fight. Individual differences and geography makes this style of martial art variable according to the circumstances and abilities of the individual seeking martial arts training. The simpler answer is :: No style or form is better, in and of itself, than any other. There are other variables outside of the style that determine which one is best for person to train in long before the street fight ever happens. And now my question. What is a TC in Biology doing asking such a poorly thought out question?

Israeli Krav Maga. It was designed to quickly and easily take down any opponent while humiliating them and possibly making them soil themselves. Its great for that gritty, dirty style of no rules street fighting

These kinds of questions baffle me, but not so much as many of the answers. ISDS has given the most relevant answer thus far. Street fighting is not a style per se, but rather, a mindset. That being said, some styles lend themselves to street fighting/self defense better than others. Those who say that MMA is effective for street/self defense without a qualifier do not know what they are talking about. MMA is trained for competition against ONE opponent within a paradigm of rules. Hell, they have a referee. Street/self defense has no rules, and no referee, and it's not a competition. It has been my experience that most MMA types are woefully lacking in the self defense area. That does not mean that MMA types cannot be formidable defenders of themselves, they can be IF they are able to take their MMA skills and actually train in ways that are relevant to street/self defense. The same can be said for most any martial art. As for BJJ; I've said it before, and it's a fact. BJJ, on its own, is horrible for street/self defense. The main goal of BJJ is to take the fight to the ground and submit the opponent. In a street/self defense situation, the ground is the last place to be. Any relevant self defense training should be training for the possibility of multiple attackers. It's almost impossible to break an arm with an arm bar when you have a bunch of people standing over you kicking your head. However, that is not to say that BJJ does not offer skills that can be very useful if utilized within the paradigm of street/self defense. Street/self defense is a mindset that requires training and drills relevant to issues unique to self defense regardless of stylistic background.

jeet kun do...bruce lee used it, and he was the master of all street fighting and mma
I do Tae Kwon Do. Last week, I worked out with a 34 yr. old guy who is seriously into MMA. We showed each other how we would handle certain situations. I noticed that he tended to crouch down and lunge for my legs. I am trained to fight erect and keep my weight back. In a real fight, I'd sidestep his lunge and hit him one time on the side of the head. I'd either knock him out or kill him.
