How can i get afl grand final tickets if I'm not a member?

It is very hard! Let me tell you now unless you have contacts whop know people in high places you probably wont get any, I tried so hard last year too go but unfourtunetly just couldn't get any tickets but i really wanna go this year! I hate it how the Grand Final is all about the rich business men who get their tickets from the company, It is difficult for supporters to go and see there team play in the Grand Final because they have no way of getting tickets!

The best way is through AFL Travel. They have Grand Final packages on sale for a $2000+. BTW, no Grand Final tickets are sold to the general public, or to members of clubs not in the GF. Only a very limited number are available to members of the 2 competing teams. The rest go to the corporate world who contribute vast amounts of money to run the game, and hard core AFL fanatics (AFL members and MCC members) who pay thousands of dollars over the life of their membership for the privilege to go into a ballot for tickets each year. This after spending decades on a waiting list to be upgraded to full AFL or MCC membership.

Perhaps through a travel agent with one of their grand final packages - may be a waste of money though if you live in Melbourne. (Though if you know someone who lives out of Vic, who doesn't like the footy, maybe you could share? (Ie they get the tickets to fly to Melbourne and you get the footy stuff??)

**Personally I think you'd be pushing your luck to get them. Some members of the teams who ARE playing struggle to get tickets so if you're not a member you'd have an even harder time getting tickets.**

If your a friend or a family member of the player whos team is in the GF then its all right, you'll be able to get tickets for sure. my older brother got tickets last year coz hes best mates with Tom Harley from geelong.
