How can I get tickets to the 2008 AFL Grand Final?

How to get AFL grand final tickets 2008, im not a member of any club..please help???

    You'd have to be really lucky by winning a competition for them . Not being a member you have no chance of getting tickets , even if you were a member of a participating team you'd probably only have about a 50% chance through the new ballet system. Your only other option is to pay a scalper about $1000 per ticket. I think the whole system sucks , all members of participating clubs should get tickets first , then the corporates, sponsers, big knobs etc can have whats left over.

**I think you'll be pushing your luck to try and get Grand Final tickets, it's hard enough for the members of the clubs to get tickets let alone people who aren't members.**

Your best chance is to hope it's Melbourne vs Freo. The Dees supporters will still be at the snow or catching the first bream of the spring at Orbost. There's only two Freo supporters and they can only buy four tickets each. If that was the case then there might be ONE ticket spare. Otherwise (and as there's not actually much chance of that) you're up for $2000 for a holiday package if you're quick or $4000 from a scalper if you're quiet.

Members can get theirs on the Monday during GF week while non members usually have to wait till Wednesday. Another option is to purchase a membership. Some clubs have memberships which don't get you into games but will give you access to GF tickets. Other wise look on ebay or travel sites for packages.

Some travel agents do grand final tour packages. I noticed one doing the rounds of the Adelaide papers last year but I haven't seen anything this year. Could well be too late to get a spot this year anyway Its much cheaper being a member
