How to properly cut flower stems?
-
i bought lots of flowers, but i have a short vase. is there any proper way to cut the stem to preserve it longer? i.e. diagonally? should be rigid? etc?

Answer:
You should cut them diagonally. Forgot to add that you should take off the leaves that are underwater. They will rot and make the water murky. Also cut with a straight blade. Not serrated like a steak knife.
