    In my opinion the first place you should consider going to is Queenstown. There are a number of popular ski fields in the area Plenty of accommodation at all price ranges, all the facilities of a large town especially one that heavily caters for outdoor activities and there's lots to do when not skiing. For a one star hotel, go to the Millenium Hotel in Queenstown in July. There's snow there. For five stars you can go to Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown. Just check all the flyers out there. There's so many out there to go with.
