When will the americas and Australasia form a union>?

These unions are between countries which border each other, they are neighbours, which make it beneficial to have close ties. You are suggesting two countries 7000 miles apart do this, Australia and America are in two different continents not likely to happen in my opinion. a union of the whole American continent would make more sense though seems unlikely in the current political climate. . One of the major problems is America see itself as superior to all other countries, it's wealth and military might lead the majority of American politicians and a large number of the population to think they should lead, they know what is best for the rest of the world. Unions require sometimes giving in to the majority. They have shown what they think of other nations when they do not operate as the US think they should; Iraq, Cuba, Vietnam. We saw them turn their full contempt on France, allegedly their allies, when the French dared to stand up and be vocal on their condemnation of America's invasion of Iraq. Many in the US would leave those unions they already belong to such as the UN. They have consistently refused to sanction Israel, no matter how many human rights laws are abused. They are the only country in the world apart from Somalia who have not ratified the UN Child Rights treaty. They are the only westernised country which still has the death penalty. They broke international law outlawing torture, laws they had helped to write. They are not joiners unless they can lead from the front, many believe they have the right to tell other countries what they can and cannot do. With that attitude the rest of the world is safer if they stand alone.
